Usefulness of Information Source

So is the internet replacing the agent with regards to usefulness?  According the buyers surveyed in 2008, not really…

Both agent and the internet were Very Useful sources of information for 81% of buyers in 2008.  Meanwhile, more traditional sources of real estate information, newspaper ads and home book or magazine, were seen as Very Useful by less than one third of home buyers.  Clearly, putting your marketing dollars into yourself (education, learning new skill sets) and the internet (marketing, listing syndication, etc) will pay dividends, IF you are seen as good source of housing information.

Todd, good article, I think you’ll find that as more and more agents embrace their own IDX or similar, that line will continue to “blur”….
